Albacete gets its bull fair underway with a spectacular desencajonada

The bullring in Albacete enjoyed an evening filled with anticipation, fine young bulls and a fantastic atmosphere, featuring the traditional desencajonada followed by a successful practical bullfighting class.

The bullring in Albacete is already beginning to feel the atmosphere of the upcoming bull fair. The traditional desencajonada once again attracted a large number of fans to the stands on Saturday, offering a preview of one of the major events in the bullfighting calendar.

The event, revived several years ago by UTE Amador-Casas, once again gave fans the opportunity to see at close quarters the bulls that will take part in some of the bullfights during the fair.

Three bull runs that left a strong impression

One of the evening’s main attractions was the unloading of three groups of bulls destined for upcoming events: the novilladas featuring bulls from Murteira Grave and Montealto, as well as the bullfight with bulls from Conde de Mayalde, which is scheduled to open the fair.

The animals’ presence and impressive build immediately caught the attention of the crowd. The response from the stands was equally immediate, with an ovation reflecting the high expectations ahead of the coming days.

The desencajonada is therefore becoming one of the events that best sets the scene for the bullfighting atmosphere that Albacete will experience during its annual fair.

Albacete’s young talent provides the perfect finale

The evening did not end with the unloading of the bulls. The action continued in the ring with a practical class featuring students from the Albacete Bullfighting School.

Manuel Blasco, Curro de Belén and El More brought the evening to a close, facing three young bulls from Daniel Ramos. It was an important opportunity for these emerging talents to demonstrate their skills in front of their home crowd.

The evening ended on a particularly celebratory note. All three young bullfighters walked out through the Puerta Grande, while the final young bull was also awarded a lap of honour.

Breeder Daniel Ramos shared in the celebrations, leaving the bullring on the shoulders of supporters alongside the three young bullfighters.

Albacete is already looking towards its bull fair

The desencajonada once again fulfilled its role as the prelude to the Albacete Bull Fair: bringing the bulls closer to the fans, building anticipation and starting the countdown to the main events.

With the bulls from Murteira Grave, Montealto and Conde de Mayalde already presented, and the local young talent having made a strong impression, Albacete is approaching its big days with growing excitement among fans eager to see what will unfold in the ring.
